Welcome to Mark Hayes Photography
I have been taking photos for over 40 years, from early childhood, and although I have happily embraced the wonders of digital photography I still have a strong emotional attachment to film. There is something uniquely satisfying about watching the shadows develop on photographic paper in a tray. The whole process is so tactile and it is almost primeval, I still produce archival prints on occasion but the speed and ease of digital lures me away from the true faith. These pages contain some images taken during my travels to Africa and the Polar Regions.
